Zig-zag Iris

Iris brevicaulis, commonly known as zig-zag iris, is a perennial species native to the central and southern United States. It is characterized by its distinctive zigzagging stems from which its name is derived. This iris thrives in moist, well-drained soils and can often be found in the wild growing near streams and wetland areas. It bears striking flowers with a combination of blue, violet, and white colors.
